Non-Executive Director, Philippe Blackburn

It is with great regret that we heard the sad demise of our Non-Executive Director, Philippe Blackburn, on 23 September 2017. We would like to thank him for his contribution and collaboration during the past five years. We express our deepest condolences to his wife and to his family.

MC Easy Freight grand winner of the ‘Mauritius Business Excellence Award 2013’

236 businesses from a diversity of sectors of Mauritius (manufacturing, services, agricultural, tourism, financial...) participated in the 2013 edition of the ‘Mauritius Business Excellence Award’ organised by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Consumer Protection in collaboration with the Ministry of Business, Enterprise and Cooperatives. Its aim is not only to foster a culture of excellence among economic operators and impregnates the entire economic system of Mauritius.

MC Easy Freight came out as the grand winner of the ‘Mauritius Business Excellence Award 2013’ in the category of large enterprises, ex aequo with Ceridian Mauritius Ltd.

AfrAsia Tecoma Award - Entrepreneur of the Year 2013

Our CEO, Clarel Michaud, was one of the four nominees for the AfrAsia Tecoma Award - Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 organised by the economic and business magazine of the indian ocean, L'Eco Austral.

Following a survey conducted by TNS Analysis with 200 leaders and executives of Mauritius, the results were tight and Clarel Michaud was ranked first for the criterion of Progression. This election is held in Mauritius since 2002. For L'Eco Austral and its partners, it is to make the Tecoma, a brand of entrepreneurship in Mauritius and in the Indian Ocean.

The AfrAsia Tecoma Award ceremony, is above all a tribute to our Mauritian entrepreneurship, was held in a warm and lively atmosphere, before an audience of business leaders of our island.
